Cosmetic Dentistry
Even the most subtle change in your smile can make a dramatic
difference in the way you look and feel about yourself. Talk
to your dentist about the options most suitable for you, what
your expectations are and the dental fees involved. Some options
are: Veneers. Lunineers, Tooth whitening, Bonding, Enamel
shaping, Porcelain Crowns and Braces.
Preventive Dentistry
Brush your teeth twice a day with an ADA-accepted fluoride
toothpaste.
Clean between teeth daily with floss or an interdental cleaner.
Decay–causing bacteria still linger between teeth where
toothbrush bristles can’t reach. Flossing removes plaque
and food particles from between the teeth and under the gum
line. Eat a balanced diet and limit between-meal snacks.
Crowns and Bridges
If you want a smile that's your crowning glory, you may need
a crown to cover a tooth and restore it to its normal shape
and size. A crown can make your tooth stronger and improve
its appearance.
It can cover and support a tooth with a large filling when
there isn't enough
tooth left. It can be used to attach a bridge, protect a weak
tooth from breaking or restore one that's already broken.
A crown is a good way to cover teeth that are discolored or
badly shaped. It's also used to cover a dental implant.
Dentures
If you've lost all of your natural teeth, whether from periodontal
disease, tooth decay or injury, complete dentures can replace
your missing teeth and your smile. Replacing missing teeth
will benefit your appearance and your health. Without support
from the denture, facial muscles sag, making a person look
older. You'll be able to eat and speak, things that people
often take for granted until their natural teeth are lost.
Dental
Emergencies
There are a number of simple precautions you can take to avoid
accident and injury to your teeth. One way to reduce the chances
of damage to your teeth, lips, cheek and tongue is to wear
a mouthguard when participating in sports or recreational
activities that may pose a risk. Avoid chewing ice,
popcorn kernels and hard candy, all of which can crack a tooth.
Cut tape using scissors rather than your teeth. Accidents
do happen, and knowing what to do when one occurs can mean
the difference between saving and losing a tooth.
Root
Canal
Most of the time, a root canal is a relatively simple procedure
with little or no discomfort involving one to three visits.
Best of all, it can save your tooth and your smile!
Lunineers
1. No Prep Veneers - Veneers that are made with little or
no removal of tooth structure, such as unineers that are often
prepared without shots. Veneers of this type are usually reversible
(can be removed with little damage to the original tooth structure)
and provide the least chance of sensitivity.
2. Minimal Prep Veneers - Veneers that are prepared with
some contouring of the tooth structure, and may or may not
require shots
3. Regular Veneers - Veneers in which tooth structure is
remove to provide the optimal shape and size, and require
that the patient is anesthetized.
